A name people remember
Your product deserves an address of its own. Search for a name in the dashboard and Rimbra shows whether it is available, what it costs for the first year and what it renews at. Names that are taken or premium are marked, so you never get to checkout and find out.

Open Hosting → Domains and choose Buy domain.

Type a name, with or without an ending, like yourcompany or yourcompany.com.

Choose Buy, enter the owner’s contact details and pick add-ons such as WHOIS privacy.

Confirm. The domain is yours and its page shows the renewal date.
Bring one you already own
Add the hostname to your project and Rimbra shows the one record to set at your registrar, with a copy button.

Checks you can see
The domain page checks DNS every 20 seconds and shows three things: whether the domain points at Rimbra, whether its certificate is issued, and whether your project answers on it. When something is off, it says what, in plain words.
Move it, or send email from it
- Move a domain to another project from its page. It always serves that project’s latest live version, so redeploys never need a DNS change.
- Add the same domain in Emails → Domains to send mail from it.
Questions
How long until my domain works?
Usually a few minutes. While DNS spreads it can take up to an hour.
I use Cloudflare.
Set the record to DNS only, the grey cloud. With the proxy on, Rimbra can’t see the record or issue the certificate.
How many custom domains can I connect?
